Skitzoid Productions explore mental health issues through creative imagination, with a focus on immersive storytelling.
We are a multidisciplinary production company. Nothing is off limits as long as it is creatively interesting and serves the story we are trying to tell.
Our aim is be relational and create meaningful connections with our audience, regardless of the form we’re using.

Music & DANCE
All our shows feature songs, music and choreography.
We try to devise productions where there is a clear narrative reason for why our performers sometimes burst into song.
Our musical style draws on both classic musical theatre and more conventional pop music.
We use a mixture of backing tracks and live musicians during performance.
Projection
Our shows use extensive audio and video.
This helps expand the boundaries of our universe, creating a deeper immersive experience for our audiences.
We also use live streaming to heighten emotional intensity.
BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL
We view each production as a world building exercise, and are keen to find ways for audiences to become part of that world.
This helps to keep people engaged, and creates a deeper emotional connection between the audience and performers.
BEING FLEXIBLE
Although the basis of any show is a really strong script, we try to be open to what emerges during the rehearsal process.
We take the attitude that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts, so we are happy to pull and stretch the work if it serves the story.
Everyone involved in our productions has a stake in the final product, so it’s important to listen to constructive criticism.
